School Age Program

Our School-Age Program serves children ages 7 – 12 years of age with a teacher to child ratio of 1:14.  This program is designed to welcome children before and after school.  The children are provided breakfast and after school snack.  Children are walked by staff to and from Hamilton School.  Children requiring transportation to Loma Verde Elementary School are taken by NBCC van to their school and picked up again at the end of the day.  There is a bus fee in addition to tuition costs for transportation to and from Loma Verde Elementary School.

NBCC’s School-Age Program begins at 7:00 am, offering breakfast, play time and hands on experiences with developmentally appropriate planned and implemented curriculum for school-aged children.  Children have an opportunity to learn together, build lasting relationships with other children and staff, and work at team problem-solving skills.  

The Program is designed to allow ample time for individual study time, computer use, music/movement/dance, art, science, dramatic play and language arts.  Homework help is available on a daily basis from staff, so that at the end of the child’s day, most of their homework is complete.  This allows for more family time at home.
