The half day preschool program provides care for children ages 3-5 years old with a teacher to child ratio of 1:8. NBCC programs are offered Monday through Friday, 8:30am -11:00am. The half day preschool program serves 15 children per day, five days per week. This program prepares our children for school in a socialized group setting with the regular participation of parents as partners.
Our experienced bilingual and multicultural teaching staff provides a child centered curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment. Our goal is to provide a play-oriented curriculum where respect for the child, positive guidance and the development of self-esteem are important values. We offer a range of activities that includes; art, language and literacy, math, science, and the Garden of Eatin’ healthy eating and active living program.
The full day preschool program provides care for children ages 5-7 years old with a teacher to child ratio of 1:8. NBCC programs are offered Monday through Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm. The full day preschool program serves 30 children per day, five days per week.
This program is considered a Family Literacy Program with an emphasis on emergent literacy, pre-literacy skill building, family literacy engagement and events and English language instruction. We include our families in evening potluck events throughout the year. Community partnership and participation is vital in this program by introducing our children to various service organizations and providers. Our experienced bilingual and multicultural teaching staff provides a full day of curriculum that reflect the children’s interest, needs, home culture, social skill building, language and literacy with a goal of “kindergarten readiness”.
