School Age

Our school age program provides care for children ages 5-7 years old with a teacher to child ratio of 1:14.  NBCC programs are offered Monday through Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm.  The school age program serves 24 children per day, five days per week.

The school age program works to support and nurture the socialization and skill building of our students from Kindergarten through 2nd grade.  The professional and nurturing staff greets our students each day at their classroom and accompanies them to the NBCC classroom.

NBCC offers structured, free choice, outdoor play and homework help as a gentle extension of the student's day.  The school age program guides children with respect for individuality.  The focus on social competence helps our children develop empathy and compassionate awareness of others, self control and internal motiviation.

During the year when McDowell Elementary is closed, NBCC offers camp for children.  Please see our camp page for more information and camp schedules.
