North Bay Children's Center

Thank you Redwood Credit Union and Mark Enlow for stepping up and supporting our essential programs in these extraordinary times. Your matching grant keeps vital child care services available in order to meet the emergent needs of the community. ❤️💚🧡💙It’s time to step up! When I heard Brett Martinez CEO of Redwood Credit Union provided matching grant funds to support NBCC's response to COVID-19, in which they are providing emergency child care to health care first responders in Sonoma and Marin counties, I knew I had to jump in too.

Please join me, Enlow & Associates, Mark Enlow Foundation, Mark Enlow Family of Companies and RCU with a donation to North Bay Children's Center 👉 nbcc.net/donate-now/ – together, we’ll match your contribution dollar for dollar, up to a maximum of $30,000 in total donations to ensure their services can be there now for our health care heroes and in the future! #GivingBack #InvestInOurFuture #WereInThisTogether #RedwoodCreditUnion #LoveNBCCkids #MatchingGRANT #MeettheMatch #COVID19response #NorthBayChildrensCenter #MarkEnlowFoundation #NBCC

Social distancing and hand washing - Top two rules we are currently living with. While we can't soften the distance between each other, we can help you to soften your hands as you wash them on a regular basis. Here's NBCC's Garden of Eatin' recipe for a gentle hand balm you can make at home.
1 oz. beeswax pellets
1 oz. shea butter
4 oz. olive oil
10-20 drops essential oil of desired scent, e.g Lemon or Lavender
Place beeswax in a double boiler and gently warm over low heat until the beeswax melts.
Add olive oil and shea butter stir over low heat until well-mixed.
Remove from heat and add the essential oil(s).
Quickly pour warm mixture into clean tins, jars, tubes and allow to cool completely.
Store in a cool location for 1 to 3 years.
This is a very basic hand balm recipe with many easy variations. If you prefer a more creamy and softer texture, increase the amount of shea butter or decrease the amount beeswax. Experiment using different types of oils. Add or decrease the quantity of essential oil based on the desired aroma.
